Postpartum Doula Services
Offering Support
What is a Postpartum Doula?
A postpartum doula is a professional support person who is trained to help not only the baby, but the family as well, in the days or months after birth. As your postpartum doula I will provide evidenced based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother–baby bonding, infant soothing, basic newborn care, and more. I am there to help your new family in those first days and weeks after bringing home your new baby.
Happy Mother Happy Baby
Building on the mother’s existing knowledge and plans for parenting, I will look for opportunities to share my own tricks of the trade. Pointing out Baby’s feeding and sleep cues, for example, is a way in which I can offer simple information that empowers the new mother and makes life easier. By swiftly changing a diaper or two and burping baby with ease I will share my knowledge with you. I will help mother the new mother, nurturing her so she can nurture her precious new baby.
