11 Months with Diana Grace

When Did She Become a Little Lady?

How in the world did we get here? Next month this little lady will be 1 year old and I'm not sure if I feel like crying in the corner or jumping up and down that we made it through the first year as a family of 4. One thing is for sure, I am so proud of both my kiddos. Allan is becoming the best big brother and Diana is growing into such a little sweet pea. Her vocabulary continues to grow and now she can say; daddy, momma, bubble, brother, bottle and up. She is so much more verbal than Allan at this age!

A Day at the Natural History Museum

As our city starts to open back up, we have been taking advantage of every opportunity to take the kids out. This month we visited the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. After Allan watched "Night at the Museum" which he loved, I wanted to take him to our little local museum. It's small but has a really fun dinosaur exhibit and a marine life gallery with live fish and small sharks. Honestly, kids see everything as magical so Allan really had a blast and has been asking to go back, which I totally plan on doing!

Some of My Favorite Things

Splash pads at the park. Oh man, am I happy the parks are open! I'm sure all you parents out there can relate when I say, it's so hard to have limited choices for our little ones to play outside during COVID-19. So, as soon as the splash pads opened up at the parks we were there! It's already hot here in Vegas so this is the perfect relief for my kiddos.

Dates with my Husband. As all the restaurants start to open back up, Ryan and I have been going on early dinner dates. I'll tell you; it has been so nice to feel normal and sit down at a restaurant kid free! One of my favorite local spots is Honey Salt. Not only do we love the food but we got a real laugh when we saw that stuffed animals wearing face masks were sitting at the tables next to us. This is to help with social distancing of course but Ryan and I both got a laugh out of it!

Harmless Harvest Coconut Water. Talk about the perfect Summer drink! I've tried a lot of prepackaged coconut water and all of them have tasted like, well, dirt like actual dirt. Not this one guys and it pink how fun it that! It can be pretty price so I always take advantage when it's on sell or Costco usually has a good deal on it. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

How's Momma Doing?

I was lucky enough to be a part of 2 home births this month. One was a repeat client which is always so special. I have definitely seen an uptick in home birth since COVID-19. Many women are choosing to do a home birth instead of going to the hospital. I say, as long as you are low risk why not do a home birth, am I right! Next month Diana will be 1 year old! How in the heaven, did we get here so fast? Don't blink mommas seriously. don't do it, you may just miss your baby growing up! I'm planning on a Summer themed birthday party at the park with a splash pad! Can't wait for you all to see it!
